Clove Hitch Knot: How to tie one of the most important knots (Right to left)

Step-by-Step guide to Clove Hitch Knot (right to left) with pictures.

The clove hitch knot is one of the most versatile knots in macramé designs. There are four main styles of clove hitch knots:

⋒ Clove Hitch Knot from left to right
⋒ Clove Hitch Knot from right to left (current page)
⋒ Vertical Clove Hitch Knot (coming soon)
Horizontal Clove Hitch Knot

Clove hitch knots are used in many different patterns to create designs like flowers, leaves, geometric shapes, separators, and so much more.

TIP:

If you use your left hand to hold the filler cord, use your right hand to grab the working cord and throw OVER the filler cord then pull through the loom from UNDER the filler cord to the right. So just remember OVER, UNDER x2 for each working cord.

(If you check out the CHK from the left, it is the mirror opposite. Hold the filler cord with your right hand, use your left hand to throw working cord OVER the filler cord then pull through the loop from UNDER the filler cord to the left.)

Happy knotting!
